 2009 MISSION TRIP

 

 

Why a mission trip to Zambia, Southern Africa?

The goal of this trip is:

• To bring a message of faith, love and hope to orphans and families who have been devastated by the effects of HIV/AIDS.

• To deliver $50,000 to support the Bwembya Village Community Center Project. This project consists of the development of a school, community center and feeding project for AIDS orphans and families living in poverty in the rural village of Bwembya in the town of Kasama, Zambia.

• To network with family and youth organizations in Zambia to strengthen the relationships between Zambian and American youth and families.

Educate me!
Primary School -
“Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.” A primary school is being
built to educate AIDS orphans in Kasama.

Train me!
Community Center -
Programs run in the community center will provide Life skills and abstinence training for many of the youth who find
themselves has head of households as a result of HIV/AIDS.

Empower me!
Grinding mill station -
Mills save many women and girls from thousands of hours of backbreaking labor and provides jobs
for a many of them. As a result of the income generated, the quality of life of the entire village is improved.
